This month’s featured handmade lingerie designer is the amazing On The Inside when I found Elise Olson’s work on Etsy I was instantly in love and knew I had to photograph it. I bought the Sassafras bra and the Sugarberry panties in grey, can we say cutest names ever, and was thrilled when they arrived. They were extremely well crafted and the fabric, a stretch lace, was exquisite and so incredibly soft. I actually fully contemplated just keeping the set for myself, but that would have been silly something so beautiful just had to be photographed and boy did it photograph well, you can see the full set here at Soft, Romantic Lace and Pearls.

On The Inside is based out of Asheville, North Carolina. Elise is a self taught seamstress and her on her website she says “I strive to provide the ladies of the world with lingerie that is unique and sexy, yet comfortable enough to wear everyday.” The way I would describe the lingerie style is romantic. Lots of beautiful lace and soft feminine fabrics that flatter a woman’s body. The best part is that she offers custom sizing options as well for a very reasonable rate. If you don’t quite match up to her standard measurements it appears to be between $10 to $15 more for a custom order and then you have something made just for you, which is a great deal if you are a lady that often finds her body shape is a little harder to fit. Happen to be down in Ashland, OR and want to see her items in person? According to her website Love Revolution carries her items which I must say is pretty awesome.

When it comes my business this quote sums up my beliefs perfectly. I am only satisfied when I know I am giving my clients the best. The best service, the best photos and the best experience. Which is why I am so excited to let you all know that I am adding personal shopping to the list of services that are available and included when you book a session with The Sensual Photographer. To me the best starts before you even walk through the door for your session. I love getting to know my clients and chatting with them about their style, learning about their personalities and yes even going shopping with them to pick out the perfect outfit that is going to make them look their absolute best on the day of their session. Think about the peace of mind that will give you when you don’t have to worry about packing every single article of clothing you own because we have already picked out the perfect outfits!
On the day of your session I make sure you are pampered, I love to spoil my clients and make them feel super special. I work with a top of the line hair and makeup artist who not only listens to what you like, but knows how to give you a look that is going to make you shine. She is there to make sure that you go into your session feeling just as beautiful as you look. During the session I strive to make sure you have an amazing experience that leaves you feeling sensual and empowered.
Things don’t end when the session does. I believe in making every step of the process personal which is why I love doing in person reveal sessions. The reveal session is your time to really take in the final images in a comfortable relaxed setting with no distractions. I love being able to help my clients pick out their favorite images and then helping them decided what the best way to display them is going to be. I am always working to make my business better and I don’t believe in cutting corners. I do extensive research on all of my vendors to give you amazing quality from handmade albums with beautiful printing, to stunning canvas to hang on your walls. When it comes to your products, you will not find me skimping on the details because it is crazy to me to take a really high quality image and display it in a subpar way. You deserve the best and when you select The Sensual Photographer for your boudoir experience I do not settle for anything less than that.

How quickly the weeks have gone by here is our forth and final spokesmodel finalist Bettina. Don’t forget I want your input on who you think should be my 2015 Spokesmodel. Voting will start on April 23rd through my Facebook Page . Make sure to go like the page that way you don’t miss out on the voting!
My name is Bettina and I am stoked to be a finalist for The Sensual Photographer’s spokeswoman contest! For the last year I have been on a venture to learn what it means embrace who I am wholeheartedly and be brave enough to express that beauty with others, in an effort to help inspire them to have the courage to do the same thing. As a (hobby) photographer myself, I have been looking to The Sensual Photographer for inspiration in both my pastime and in my personal goals. The Sensual Photographer does beautiful boudoir photography, helping others to express and share their sensuality, and I am proud and excited to help her represent her brand.
I am excited to introduce you all to my the next Spokesmodel Finalist Jessica. This week we get to find out more about Jessica and discover what inspired her to enter to become The Sensual Photographer’s Spokesmodel. I love that my finalists all come from such diverse backgrounds!
Hi my name is Jessica and I am an Oregon State alumni (Go Beavs!) I am a big sports fan who loves the outdoors. I’m that girl who is out at 6am fishing Saturday morning with the guys. My inspiration for entering to become the spokesmodel ranges from family, friends and women in general. I want women to know that you do not need to be a size 2 to be beautiful. Becoming a finalist was a complete shock because I’ve never entered anything like this before. I am so excited to see what I can bring to the Sensual Photographers name, while also enjoying a journey I never thought I would have the confidence to do.
I have always been a fan of the 1902s and the Art Deco style. The movement was born out of World War I into the machine age and the world of jazz music. Art Deco artists expressed themselves through geometric shapes, bold colors and of course lavish ornamentation. It was also the age of the “modern woman” and probably one of my favorite eras of photography. Photographers like Edward Steichen brought about what most would consider to be modern fashion photography paving the way for many photographers to come. These Art Deco inspired pieces I feel embrace the “modern woman” of the 1920s in a fun contemporary way.
